A Message from the CEO
These have certainly been trying and turbulent days, and my heart goes out to people everywhere who are struggling either with this disease, working to prevent its spread, or in troubled times due to the consequences of COVID-19. Like every other company, Veative has not been immune to the challenges we all face. We have offices around the world, and a development centre in India, and each of us have had to learn to cope, and hopefully thrive, in this new world order.
Veative, at heart, is a learning and development company. It is both a privilege to be involved in the education of others, and a responsibility. We take both of these seriously. For us, learning is learning, whether that takes place in a classroom, a training centre, an industrial facility, or at home.
Many of the people I work with have been teachers in the past, and some still are. And like teachers everywhere, first and foremost is the consideration of how we can positively affect the learning experience for those in our charge. Putting this together and making it available to schools and students around the world can be an intensive task requiring a lot of collaboration. That part has been uniquely challenging because of lockdowns and such, but we are finding odd ways to cope with everything from locked-out access to high-level software needed to build the immersive modules we make, to very slow residential internet connectivity for many workers. But like everyone else dealing with issues like these, we will continue to push through and produce content worthy of the educational needs of learners everywhere, be it in schools, factories, boardrooms or living rooms.
Although many would classify us as a "VR company", we are in fact operating at the intersection of immersive, L&D and technology. We firmly believe that immersive experiences, in the VR, can allow learners to connect with very challenging concepts in a way generations before them could not. With everyone home now and unable to access such resources I needed to task my team with finding another way. For that, we have come up with WebXR solution, allowing anyone to work on these concepts and topics while at home, simply using the browser on a PC. I invite you to check out these free resources we have made, which we hope will keep students engaged in their studies.
So whether we get back to normalcy that we can recognize, or if the world that surrounds us is, in fact, the new normal, we will continue working hard to provide the best that we can offer for educators and learners, enterprises and institutions the world over. We owe that to you. We owe that to ourselves.
Stay safe, be well and never stop learning.
